Fleet Register
The Fleet Register is the list of your ships. Everything else in NethuneX — voyages, noon reports, defects, crew — hangs off a vessel record, so this is usually the first screen a new workspace fills in.
The screen
A search box (name, IMO, MMSI or call sign), a row of status filters — Active, Laid Up Hot, Laid Up Cold, Reactivating, In Dry Dock, Under Repair, Decommissioned, Archived — and one table: vessel, type, identifier, flag, port, length, deadweight or TEU, build year, Q88 state, risk and actions. Fifty ships per page.
Click a row and the full vessel record opens right there in the list. Click the ship's name to open it as its own page.
The Risk column
A pill — Good, Watch, Elevated or Critical — that answers the question a charterer, bank or terminal asks about a ship from the outside. It is the worst of five readings, never an average, so a sanctions match cannot be smoothed away by a clean flag:
- Sanctions — the ship's latest screening and its decision. Never screened or a stale screening reads Watch; an open match reads Elevated; a standing match reads Critical.
- Flag — where the flag sits on the Paris MoU White/Grey/Black list and the Tokyo MoU High/Medium/Low list (the worse of the two). A flag on neither list is "not ranked", which is neutral.
- Age — 20 years and over reads Watch, 25 and over Elevated.
- Port state control — one detention in the last 24 months reads Elevated, two or more Critical.
- Findings record — the vetting score from the Intelligence tab, folded in so there is one reading, not two.
Hover for the reason that set the band; click for all five with the fact each was judged on, which flag-list edition was read, and links to the sanctions desk and the findings breakdown. The same pill sits at the top of the vessel page, and the address book shows the sanctions reading alone for each counterparty.
Adding a ship
Three ways:
- Add Vessel opens a form with five tabs: Classification, Identity, Dimensions, Build & Specs, Notes. Only the name is strictly required; fill in what you have and come back for the rest.
- + Via MMSI — type the ship's 7 to 9 digit MMSI and press Enter. NethuneX looks the ship up on live AIS and fills in what it can see.
- Import — a wizard that takes a CSV or Excel file with one ship per row, and shows you how it read each column before anything is saved.
Keyboard shortcut: press n anywhere on the register for a new vessel.
The vessel record
Tabs: Overview, Zone Map, Certificates, Documents, Q88, VIQ, SIRE 2.0 Prep, RISQ 3.2 Prep, Findings, Intelligence, PSC History. The ship's name at the top is editable in place; renaming it updates every voyage, defect and widget that mentions the ship.
What it will and won't do
- Q88, VIQ and SIRE 2.0 Prep only appear for tankers and gas carriers; RISQ 3.2 Prep only for dry bulk. On other ship types those tabs are simply not there, and a saved link to one lands on Overview.
- Archive takes a ship off the list without deleting anything. It asks you to confirm, and the Archived filter shows it again with a Restore button.
- The Q88 column reads "—" for non-tankers because Q88 does not apply to them, and "Not started" for a tanker with no questionnaire yet.
