Noon Reports

The noon report is the ship's daily statement of where it is, how it is performing and what it has burned. NethuneX takes it in through a step-by-step form on board, checks it, and puts it in front of the office for review. Approved reports feed the compliance figures and the voyage's actuals.

The screen

The Noon reporting instrument shows average sea consumption and the month's CO₂, a review bar you can click — Pending review, Approved, Flagged / rejected — and fleet speed against ordered speed. Below it the Performance cloud plots speed through water against consumption from your own good-weather data, keyed laden, ballast, and heavy weather (dimmed).

Two tabs: reports and compliance. Compliance shows a Fleet Submission — Last 7 Days grid, with a Captain view toggle.

Filing a report

New Report opens an eight-step wizard: Basics, Position, Navigation, Weather, Engine, Fuel, Cargo & ETA, Remarks. You can Save Draft at any step and come back. Submit Report sends it for review.

Every number is range-checked as you go — hours underway 0 to 26, Beaufort 0 to 12, and so on — and the wizard jumps back to the step with the problem.

Reviewing a report

Open a report to see its sections: position and navigation, a reconciliation of reported versus derived figures, weather, engine, fuel and remaining on board, cargo and draft, next port, remarks and a status history. A Data-quality checks panel scores the report's trust out of 100.

Actions: Approve, Flag Issue, Reject, Resubmit, Submit, Revert to Submitted.

What it will and won't do

  • A position is required to submit (except a Noon (Port) report). Drafts can be incomplete.
  • Flag, Reject and Revert need a written reason. Without one the button refuses: "Reason required — please explain why before confirming."
  • Approve reminds you that approved reports feed the compliance KPIs and voyage data, so approve only when the values look right. Reject suggests Flag instead if the report is mostly fine with one issue.
  • Reverting an approved report takes it back out of the compliance figures and clears the approver and time.

Statuses: Draft, Submitted, Under Review, Approved, Flagged, Rejected.
